This summer TAPS Restaurant menu is taking seafood to a whole new level

This summer TAPS Restaurant menu is taking seafood to a whole new level by introducing amazing new additions to their menu. Guests will enjoy a wide selection of chilled favorites like crab claws, a special selection of baked oysters, and a variety of rare fresh fish options. If you’ve read my previous article on TAPS Restaurant & Brewery you’ll likely already know that their name can be deceiving. Luckily most locals already know that this restaurant is fantastic and offers a variety of sophisticated cuisine including their delicious new seafood menu we recently enjoyed below.

California Love cocktail with Blink Owl Aquavit, TAPS American cream, cinnamon, sherry, lemon, raspberries, and club soda.

Taps-cocktail

To begin we started with a vibrant new summer cocktail, California Love. This Blink Owl Aquavit cocktail blends TAPS American cream, cinnamon, sherry, lemon, raspberries, and club soda. The perfect start to a summer of seafood favorites.

Taps-seafood-tower

The new chilled Taps restaurant menu items include stone crab claws,  jumbo white shrimp, oysters, and Peruvian scallops.

After ordering cocktails I highly recommend starting with a fabulous seafood tower which highlights all the new chilled TAPS restaurant menu items including chilled lobster claw salad, stone crab claws,  jumbo white shrimp, oysters, and Peruvian scallops. Our oysters were the Pink MoonNew London Bay from Canada and they were outstanding!

The freshness of the seafood and oysters are some of the best I’ve had.

The chilled seafood selections is a brand new section added to the TAPS restaurant menu and everything from the seafood tower can also be ordered individually. I have to admit, this is one of my favorite seafood towers. You just cannot get better than the freshness of the seafood here. The oysters are also some of the best I’ve had.

Another addition to the new TAPS summer menu is the “baked” section.

Another addition to the new summer TAPS restaurant menu is the “baked” section featuring three different styles of baked oysters. Guests can choose between Rockefeller, Tarragon Leek Champagne, and Charbroiled. I, of course, went for the Tarragon Leek Champagne baked oysters with lump crab meat and applewood smoked bacon.

Taps-Opah

Guests will be able to choose from new unique selections such as Opah, Rainbow Trout, Baquetta, and Barramundi.

For entrees TAPS Restaurant & Brewery are highlighting a vast selection of fresh fish which will change weekly based on availability. They even print out new restaurant menu’s almost daily. Guests will be able to choose from new unique selections such as Opah, Rainbow Trout, Baquetta, and Barramundi just to name a few. With the new fresh fish selections, there will also be a variety of sauces to “dress it up” like white puttanesca, Sansho daikon ponzu, macadamias nut crusted with main lobster sauce, chimichurri, and several others. For our main entree, we opted for the Wild Hawaiian Opah with the macadamia nut crusted lobster sauce. You’ll also be able to select 2 sides. We went with the brussel sprouts and cilantro rice which is a special off-menu item.

Taps-Filet-3-Ways

TAPS Restaurant menu also has amazing steak selections such as their Petite Filet Trio.

If you are not a seafood lover, fret not. TAPS Restaurant & Brewery has amazing steak selections such as their Petite Filet Trio which features 3-oz filets prepared three ways with crab Oscar, peppercorn brandy sauce and shrimp scampi with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. This is one of my favorite dishes when I’m in the mood for a great steak. I love the variety of sauces which are all so delicious!

Taps-Grapefruit-IPA

They also have an amazing Brewery in Red Hill right by the Tustin Hangers.

In addition to TAPS Restaurant, don’t forget that they also have an amazing Brewery in Red Hill right by the Tustin Hangers. Guests can learn about their brewing process, enjoy tastings, and order food items from their on-site food trucks. If you’re looking for a fun weekend adventure, I highly recommend it. Pictured above you’ll see their new Grapefruit IPA, perfect for a refreshing summer beer.
