The Marriott’s Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar finally delivers a great location for adults to enjoy some cocktails, a fantastic view, and a classy night out on the town. Orange County is perfect in every way with its gorgeous beaches, amazing restaurants, and endless attractions. However, it was always missing a classy venue to enjoy a few drinks and listen to music. Now that Marriott’s Hive and Honey has opened, its time for you to enjoy a delicious cocktail while overlooking the Irvine city lights.
When you enter the lobby of the Marriott Hotel, simply take the express elevator all the way to the Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar to start enjoying your evening. For the grand opening, bartenders served adorable mini Moet champagne bottles to all of the guests. Attached were bright gold champagne stoppers that allowed for you to drink right out of the bottle. It was definitely a fun way to get the evening started.
The decor is adorned with decorative Bees on the walls, elegant olive trees and enormous white lamps giving the rooftop a fun garden atmosphere like being inside your own little Beehive. Beyond the fantastic vibe, you”ll especially enjoy the beautiful Irvine skyline with a great view of the Irvine Spectrum and surrounding mountains.
Marriott’s Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar serves some seriously Instagramable cocktails.
The Marriott’s Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar has some amazing specialty cocktails which all have adorable names like The Bees Knees, The Pollination, or The Wasp’s Nest. In addition, most of the cocktails on their menu are infused with honey to continue with the beehive theme. I especially enjoyed The Bees Knees which was bright and refreshing, made with gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a dash of honey. Not only is this drink refreshing, but it’s also served in an adorable honey bear jar. I have no doubt that this clever and adorable cocktail will be making its rounds on Instagram.
Many of the cocktails at Hive and Honey Rooftop Lounge include Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin. I am not usually the biggest fan of gin, but these drinks were absolutely amazing. A favorite of the bartender is the Nolet’s Silver Peach Lemonade. This drink includes Turkish flower gin and then infused with peaches and raspberries to give the beverage a subtle, sweet tang. To complete the beverage, the bartender adds a splash of house-made lemonade and Elderflower Liqueur. I thoroughly enjoyed the citrus sweet tang. It tastes just like a fresh homemade peach lemonade.
The cocktails at Hive and Honey pair perfectly with their tasty tapas.
Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar will feature a tapas style menu allowing guests to comfortably enjoy the stellar atmosphere. To start, enjoy the cheddar cornbread rolls. These rolls have the classic taste of warm cornbread fresh from the oven. They come infused with melted cheese and the nice jalapeno kick pairs perfectly with their sour cream dipping sauce.
Their menu also features a variety of small bites and finger foods like mini meatballs, sliders, and tacos. Their turkey meatballs are on point. The addition of buffalo sauce and tangy blue cheese instead of traditional marinara made them a hit with guests.
A favorite tapa for the staff is the beef guacamole sliders. These sliders have a delectable, buttery brioche bun, and spicy house-made guacamole, all atop a classic burger patty. The brioche was so soft and buttery and paired perfectly with the spice from the guacamole. On a complete side note, brioche bread also makes the best french toast!
Marriott’s Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar is the perfect place for a fabulous night on the town with the most amazing city views and exceptional cocktails. The staff believes that Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar will become the future of the Marriott Brand. We definitely agree that they have built a truly special venue for O.C. and SoCal locals to enjoy. Hive and Honey Rooftop Bar is now opened to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 4pm-1am.
