Follow Me On A Foodie Adventure Taking The OCBus

Travel, Cuisine, Where I'm Dining

In an effort to reduce pollution and do my part to help the environment, we’ve collaborated with the OCBus company to highlight the ease and convenience of taking the bus on a foodie adventure!

Last weekend I was spending some time with my girlfriend from UC Irvine and since my car was being serviced we decided to hop on the OCBus and go enjoy a nice brunch. Almost everyone at UC Irvine takes the OCBus. I don’t think most people in Orange County realize how easy, convenient and clean the OCBus actually is. They reminded me a lot of the shuttles you take at Disneyworld. In an effort to reduce pollution and do my part to help the environment, I’m dedicating my post to showing my fun brunch trip on the OCBus!

Waiting for the bus was ridiculously easy. There are at least 4 spots right by Campus Dr. and the OC Bus arrived in about 5 minutes. If you’ve never taken the bus before they also offer a pass so you can give them a try. Already riding? Enter to win a 30-day pass. I’ve also taken the OC Bus to the OC Fair which is only $2 and drops you off right in the front. Super convenient when you know you’ll be wine tasting all day. The wine tent at the OC Fair is my favorite!

Rogers Garden Pumpkins

Since it’s the holidays we decided to head to Rogers Garden and Farmhouse in Newport Beach. Rogers Garden is the perfect spot to pick up some pumpkins and check out their early Christmas set up. They always have the best decorations and creative flower arrangements. I love strolling through Roger’s Gardens while waiting for my brunch reservation.

Farmhouse Rogers Garden

If you have not been to Farmhouse yet, it is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Orange County. The food is fresh farm to table cuisine that is inspired by the surrounding gardens. Read the full feature on dining at Farmhouse and visiting Rogers Gardens during the holidays tomorrow.

After brunch and shopping, we headed right back to the OCBus with a bag full of fun goodies. We were all so tired by the end of the day it was nice to just hop on and relax. There are so many convenient routes available that we arrived home in only a few minutes. The OCBus is like this hidden secret amongst college students. I had no idea what I’d been missing. Now we take the bus all the time, especially when we know we”ll me indulging in some cocktails! Its never crowded and they are also super clean.
